Everyone, it seems, has an opinion on the eco-activists who doused Van Gogh’s Sunflowers in tomato soup at the National Gallery in London. We especially like the rapper Lil Nas X’s take on the soup furore.

The Montero singer posted an engaging diptych across social media showing him throwing a photoshopped Sunflowers at a painting of an Andy Warhol soup can (tomato, of course). The witty caption read: “I will avenge u mr van gogh.”

Hyperallergic reports that though the rapper didn’t post his location, he was most likely at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, where one of Warhol’s works is currently on display. Lil Nas X’s soupy social media campaign began on 26 October when the musician posted another photoshopped picture of himself holding a soup can in front of Pablo Picasso’s Figure (1930). “y’all know what tf time it is,” he says, smiling (he didn’t throw it, dear reader).
