As artists’ careers become increasingly multifaceted so too do the businesses that support them. Once the preserve of actors, rock stars and other celebrities, career management, business consultancy and strategic advisory services are becoming more commonplace across the contemporary art world. And, with it, a growing ecosystem is emerging—one of agencies offering artists help with everything from contract negotiation and fundraising to public relations, studio management and legacy planning.

This guide brings together around 20 artist agencies and consultancies—some longstanding, some new and most of them Western-focused—outlining what services they provide, who they work with and, where possible, the fee structures they offer.
