Conservators from across the UK are due to meet in Birmingham this month for the third triennial conference of the Institute of Conservation (Icon). The event, which is being held from 16 to 17 June, will look at conservation in the 21st century and the ways conservators are responding to the challenges that come with this modern age. James Noyes, the author of The Politics of Iconoclasm, is the conference’s keynote speaker.
