The NYU School of Professional Studies in New York is due to host the third annual Art Crime and Cultural Heritage Symposium next month (4-6 June). The conference will focus on topics such as the destruction of cultural heritage in Syria, the restitution of Nazi-looted art and the history of fakes and forgeries. It will include presentations by Harry Ettlinger, the last surviving “Monuments Man” from the Second World War, and the “master forger” Ken Perenyi. The event has been co-organised by the art historian and provenance research expert Jane Jacob, Chris Marinello, the director and founder of Art Recovery International, and Alice Farren-Bradley, the moderator at Museum Security Network.
