The organisers of Art Basel are introducing a new section “devoted to precise art-historical projects” at the fair’s edition in Miami Beach this year (4-7 December), a spokeswoman says. The new sector, Survey, comes two years after the launch of Frieze Masters in London, which focuses on art made before 2000. Survey will also show significant work from a range of cultures, generations and movements. There is no age limit for galleries that wish to apply.
