Need some retail-art therapy? Artists are taking over the lower ground floor of the iconic London store Selfridges on Oxford Street. Shoppers can browse a range of works and products in a special Sarabande foundation pop-up called House of Bandits (the foundation was set up by the late fashion designer Lee Alexander McQueen to support emerging creatives). The Sarabande residency (until 23 March) features art, craft pieces, fashion items, jewellery and sculpture for sale by some of Sarabande’s artists including Daisy Collingridge, Saelia Aparicio and Darcey Fleming (crucially all sales go directly towards supporting the artists and the foundation). Look out for top-notch gifts by supporters such as Jake Chapman who has designed a one-off T-shirt; designer Craig Green has also produced a limited-edition sweatshirt. Friends of Sarabande including the fabled costume designer Sandy Powell and the filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson will be “guest shopkeepers”. Don't miss also three Selfridges windows on Orchard Street transformed into a series of studios by some of Sarabande's art stars.
