Join us for an informal discussion on 26 February at 4pm GMT between our Art Market Eye team of Georgina Adam, Anny Shaw and Anna Brady as they give their views on some of this year’s top headlines, ask whether art fairs’ newest revenue generating strategies—or gimmicks—will work, and, yes, ponder whether a Gamestop-style short squeeze could play havoc with the art market as it has the stock market.
Or, is price manipulation rife in the art market anyway?
We will be looking ahead at what on earth might happen in 2021 as art fairs creep ever backwards and we enter our second year at the mercy of the pandemic...perhaps casting a few light aspersions along the way.
Plus you can ask us anything—within reason—so line up those questions.
Presented in partnership with the art advisors and appraisers Gurr Johns.
