The public appeal launched by the UK's Art Fund to save Derek Jarman’s home and garden in Dungeness, Kent, is tantalisingly close to reaching its target of £3.5m just days before the 31 March deadline (91% of the total has so far been raised). The campaign to save Prospect Cottage—which is at risk of being sold privately, having its contents dispersed, and its artistic legacy lost—was launched late January. If you feel like donating in these difficult times, it is worth noting that there are three new top-notch donation rewards including a special-edition photograph (2005) of overalls drying in the spring wind at Prospect Cottage by the late Magnum photographer Peter Marlow (worth snapping up at £75). A set of three porcelain dinner plates designed exclusively for the Prospect Cottage campaign by Clare Twomey, working in collaboration with Howard Sooley and Sophie Conran, is also available (£195). Hopefully, the seaside cottage, which has become a shrine for devotees of the influential late filmmaker and artist, can be saved for the nation. These new rewards are available on Art Fund’s crowd-funding site www.artfund.org/prospect
