Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it… the London-based performer Diva Miyake-Mugler will present a vogueing workshop at Tate Britain this Friday. Tate’s curators are linking this dance phenomenon to the British Baroque: Power and Illusion exhibition, saying that the session will respond to the “exhibition’s themes of power and illusion through discussion and movement”. The event forms part of LGBT history month at Tate; the organisers particularly welcome participation from LGBTQI and QTPOC (Queer & Trans People of Colour) communities. Unfortunately, vogueing is so in vogue that the event is now sold out.
