If you host a Kusama show, you know to expect one thing: crowds. To prepare for its exhibition of the Japanese artist’s Infinity Mirrors installations, opening in November, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta is even hosting a job fair this month (24-26 September) to hire around 50 temporary staffers to work in “guest relations” (read: shepherding visitors). Another eight will be employed to help deal with the demand for all things polka-dotted in the museum’s gift shop. “If you are interested in being part of a once-in-a-lifetime experience, apply for this opportunity to get a front row seat for the hottest ticketed show in town!” the museum writes in the job post. And that’s no overstatement. In a rush that caused some problems on the museum’s online ticketing system, more than 42,000 spots (pun very much intended) have already been secured by members. After reservations open to the general public on 17 September, the High expects more than 140,000 tickets to be sold for the show.
