Prince’s Paisley Park is looking for archivist, carnivores need not apply

For any archivers out there looking for the dream job, we found it for you. Paisley Park, Prince’s former home, studio and “mythical creative sanctuary” in Minnesota, is looking for an archives supervisor, according to a posting on the American Alliance of Museums website. The lucky hire would work to care, catalogue, store and preserve objects and materials from the musician’s extensive estate, and help to organise displays for loans and exhibitions. “Some knowledge of Prince is helpful,” the listing states, as is the “ability to perceive and deal with sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality”. And along with the usual requirements of typing and communication skills, the ideal applicant “must adhere to a pescatarian environment”, as Prince himself was known to avoid any meat except fish. But anyone who meet the conditions and passes the interview, will have access to one of the largest musical archives in the country and could discover gems like this never-before-released rehearsal footage and original studio recording of Prince's Nothing Compares 2 U from 1984:
