A VistaJet plane VistaJet

Stuck for holiday plans this winter? Never fear, Christie’s is now dabbling in the luxury holiday market. The auction house has partnered with the private jet firm VistaJet, sponsor of the worldwide exhibition tour of the collection of Peggy and David Rockefeller before its sale in New York in spring 2018.

But why view the collection in just one city when you can go on a private jet pilgrimage to four Christie’s sale rooms around the world?

The World of Art Experience, as they call it, takes you from Hong Kong, where the collection will be unveiled on 24 November (better act fast), to London then Los Angeles and, finally, to the auction in New York next year. Although, presumably, you are allowed off the plane before then.

And, if you book this journey, VistaJet promises to transport you and your art “at no additional cost on flights anytime, anywhere” which will surely save us all a fortune on shipping.

It is not clear how much the trip will cost, but we guess slightly less than the going rate for a Leonardo…
