Flooding causes road closure on Randall’s Island

Frieze New York had to stop transporting new visitors before closing because of traffic congestion

A flooded road on Randall’s Island caused Frieze New York to stop admitting visitors around 4pm on Friday 5 May. Vehicles were rerouted and those arriving later in the day were not allowed to enter. “The City Authorities asked us to stop transporting new visitors because of congestion caused by a road closure,” a spokesman for the fair said. “This affected people planning to attend the last couple hours of the fair.” For those unable to get into the fair, all tickets will be honoured this weekend or they can receive a full refund.
