Hollywood star to pull off the great museum robbery

The Mexican dreamboat Gael García Bernal, known for his films Babel and The Motorcycle Diaries (in which he played Che Guevara), is to star in a movie based on a notorious real-life heist in 1985, when burglars sneaked in through the air-conditioning vents of the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City and removed 124 precious pre-Columbian pieces. Investigators initially assumed that professional criminals were responsible, but the culprits turned out to be two university dropouts. Another arty flick on the horizon is Miss Dalí, which is being filmed in Catalonia and stars the UK actress Claire Bloom; the film tells the story of the stormy relationship between the Surrealist and his sibling.
