Philippe Vergne, the director of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, appears to have another career—as a catwalk model. The dashing museum chief strutted his stuff in a fashion show in downtown Los Angeles, organised by the French label Hermès, in March. Vergne looked très chic at the fash bash in his brown leather jacket and black sandals. “Not only did the presentation see models walking the runway in the bright spring 2017 menswear collection, but Los Angeles tastemakers hit the catwalk, too, including Vergne,” the Hollywood Reporter said. Michael Govan, the director of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, was apparently in the audience; could he be the next museum bigwig to make his catwalk debut?
