Tate is looking for a venue for the 2019 Turner prize—could it be you? The prestigious, headline-hitting award is presented alternate years at Tate Britain and at a selected UK venue (the Baltic in Gateshead bagged the honour in 2011 while the Tramway in Glasgow hosted the prize in 2015; this year, the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull, the UK City of Culture, will take a turn; 26 September-7 January 2018). The Tate is now inviting expressions of interest in hosting the Turner Prize 2019 exhibition and award ceremony. A Tate statement says: “Presenting the Turner Prize in venues across the UK creates opportunities for more people to be directly involved in discussions about contemporary British art.
