The Dutch artist Femke Herregraven has devised an online game in which people can master one of the 21st century’s most cunning pursuits: tax avoidance. Players must “pick a company from a list of real corporations known for their tax-avoidance strategies”, says a statement released by London’s Carroll Fletcher gallery, where a trailer for Taxodus is on display in the exhibition Neoliberal Lulz (until 2 April). “Players must choose a particular adviser… some will try to find legal alternatives, while others will try to convince players to bend the rules,” the statement says. The main aim is to protect your offshore assets. We can all think of some multi-national corporations that might fancy a go.
