The Australian auctioneers and art gallery Mossgreen has announced a collaboration with Fehily Contemporary that will “bridge the gap between Australia’s primary and secondary markets”, according to Mossgreen’s chief executive Paul Sumner. “Mossgreen was also launched as a gallery from the very beginning, working with mid-career to senior artists,” says Sumner, who believes a partnership with Lisa Fehily, who opened her gallery in 2010, is in everyone’s interest: “The secondary market is on the horizon for many of our artists, and Mossgreen can help them manage this process.” Fehily Contemporary is relocating to Armadale, near Melbourne, where it will continue to work with the same stable of artists, in a new headquarters on the other side of the road from Mossgreen.
