Pierre Chen

The founder of the Yageo Corporation, a major electrical components manufacturer, is one of the world’s top collectors of works by Gerhard Richter and Francis Bacon. He lends pieces regularly to top international museums. In 2015, 76 works from his collection continue their tour of prestigious Japanese museums.

Leo Shih

The tycoon from Taichung has championed the New York-based artist Lee Mingwei and mainland superstar Cai Guoqiang, both artists he collects in depth. An art lover with an international vision, he supported Lee’s 2011 show at the Brooklyn Museum and his current solo exhibition at Tokyo’s Mori Art Museum (until 4 January).

Rudy Tseng

The former film executive from Taipei has become an unofficial international ambassador for Taiwan’s contemporary art scene. He has the ear of many collectors and organises shows, most recently Osaka’s 2013 Dojima River Biennale and the Hong Kong Arts Centre’s 2014 flagship show. A.So.
