Anish Kapoor is in discussions to stage a solo exhibition in Cuba next year. The artist’s Italian gallery, Galleria Continua, which has worked with Kapoor for over two decades, is opening a new space in Havana on 27 November. The gallery’s director Lorenzo Fiaschi says he is talking to Kapoor about the logistics of organising a show in the outpost in 2016.

The gallery, which is based in San Gimignano in Italy and has outposts in Les Moulins in France and Beijing, revealed its new space in Havana in May, with a performance by the Italian artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, among other events. The Italian artist’s work is on display this week in a solo presentation at the gallery’s stand at Frieze Masters (FM, E12). Kapoor declined to comment.
