This month the Beijing-based Modern Media group, which publishes The Art Newspaper China, launches an annual French edition of its bimonthly Chinese-English art magazine Leap. The first issue will be published in French and Chinese in Paris, where Leap and Leap Édition française are partnering with the Fiac (Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain) and Asia Now fairs. It will focus on the urban and digital communities of a new generation of artists in China. Robin Peckham, Leap’s deputy editor and managing editor of the French edition, is organising a talks programme and a series of shows, Leap Pavilion, at Asia Now.
