The man behind Four Weddings and a Funeral wants world peace, and he’s hoping that artists will help him achieve it. Richard Curtis, the writer of the celebrated 1994 rom-com, has founded Project Everyone, an initiative designed to promote 17 United Nations targets that were announced earlier this month. These “global goals” aim to “end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change” in the next 15 years. “Artists around the world are invited to interpret the Global Goals through visual storytelling,” a statement says. Curtis has teamed up with the Talenthouse art networking site to spread the word. The aim is to make seven billion people aware of the UN pledges in seven days.
