Freeman and Lowe end the summer in the shade

The artists Jonah Freeman and Justin Lowe have transformed the Chelsea project space Red Bull Studios into an immersive two-storey installation that visitors can fully explore, from the creepy, Shining-esque lobby, to the 1970s sunken living room, to the half-collapsed abandoned arcade. The minutely detailed rooms were originally built as sets for a 30-minute film by the pair about an imagine megalopolis, which is screened in the back. The soundtrack was compiled by Jennifer Herrema with tunes by Devendra Banhardt, MGMT, Lizzi Bougatsos, Kurt Vile and more, which also plays as background music throughout the space. Scenario In The Shade is open to the public Wednesday to Sunday, until 6 December.
