Kiss me quick (at the Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair in Margate)

The Vauxhall Art Car Boot Fair, a staple of the London art scene held every year in London’s East End, is moving to the seaside town of Margate for one day only. The famous fete—which presents affordable commissions by big-name artists—is decamping to the Kent coast during the bank holiday weekend (30 August, 12-4pm, in the car park of Turner Contemporary). Art bargains will be available from the likes of Tracey Emin—a celebrated Margate native—Gavin Turk and Peter Blake amongst others, while other tempting treats include Sink the Pink drag acts, a range of vintage Vauxhall motors, and a Human Jukebox. The Margate edition—which also includes a knitted swimsuit fashion parade—is supported by Arts Council England.
