Tempting Nauman taster before MoMA blockbuster

Devotees of the contemporary art titan Bruce Nauman were cock-a-hoop last week at the news that the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Schaulager in Basel will collaborate on a retrospective of the Indiana-born artist’s work (the show, which kicks off at the Schaulager in March 2018, will include a vast array of pieces in a variety of media dating from 1965 to today). But Nauman disciples can see more than 30 of his prints in an off-the-radar show at Sims Reed Gallery in London (Bruce Nauman Prints 1970-2006; until 17 July). The exhibition, organised in partnership with Galerie Ronny Van de Velde in Antwerp, includes the 1981 lithograph NO (State) and a series of five screenprints entitled Studies for Holograms (1970). Prices range from £10,000 to £100,000 (incidentally, the MoMA extravaganza will no doubt further boost Nauman's standing, both critically and commercially).
