The Hong Kong-based photographer Elaine Li has organised an exhibition of Instagram photos to raise money for the victims of the last April’s earthquakes in Nepal. Instagrammers for Nepal includes images of the country’s villages and people, taken by Li and 17 other international photographers before the earthquakes caused widespread damage, killing at least 8,000. The images are all drawn from the popular photo-sharing app, and Li found and recruited all the participants entirely through social media. The show opens 12 June at the arts and events venue Lightstage in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong, with a suggested entry fee of $100 and the works on view will be for sale, with all proceeds to go to the Nepal Youth Foundation.
