The New York-based Modern art dealer Edward Tyler Nahem wears many hats. As well as selling million-dollar works, he was part of the production team that brought the Tony Award-winning production of the musical Fela! to Broadway in 2009, and he is also the executive producer (and principal funder) of the documentary Incorruptible, which is due to be shown at the Sheffield Doc/Fest (9 June) and the Los Angeles Film Festival (14-15 June). The film focuses on the anti-corruption campaign initiated by the artist-led movement Y’En a Marre (enough is enough) in Senegal in 2011, when the country’s then president, Abdoulaye Wade, decided to change the constitution to enable him to stand for a third term. “I don’t know how a Jewish guy from Brooklyn got involved with the politics of Senegal,” Nahem says.
