May was a busy month for artists. The US artist Sterling Ruby has cut ties with Hauser & Wirth and is now represented by multiple galleries, including Sprüth Magers. Fellow US artist Mark Bradford has left White Cube and Sikkema Jenkins and is now working exclusively with Hauser & Wirth. The British painter Cecily Brown is now working with Maccarone gallery in New York and Thomas Dane in London, having left Gagosian after 15 years. Thaddaeus Ropac now represents the Romanian painter Adrian Ghenie, who will have a solo show in October in the gallery’s space in the Marais district of Paris. Lehmann Maupin now represents the US photographer Catherine Opie. Regen Projects (Los Angeles), Studio Guenzani (Milan) and Stephen Friedman Gallery (London) also represent Opie.
