Christie’s has acquired the digital collection-management system Collectrium. Founded in 2009 by Boris Pevzner (below), the cloud-based platform enables users to catalogue, curate, research and appraise art. The acquisition is intended to “help position [Christie’s] for continued innovation and growth”, says Stephen Brooks, the firm’s global chief operating officer. Meanwhile, Sotheby’s has bought 25% of RM Auctions, now RM Sotheby’s, a vintage car auctioneer.
