Spain has agreed to continue judicial proceedings for the extradition to the US of José Carlos Bergantiños, an art dealer, and his brother, Jesús Ángel Bergantiños. The duo are suspected of helping the disgraced art dealer Glafira Rosales to sell fakes purportedly by Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and others, in the fraud that brought down New York’s Knoedler & Co, one of the oldest galleries in the US. The Spanish brothers were arrested in April and were released after testifying before a judge in Madrid.
