Kiev

The billionaire businessman and art collector Victor Pinchuk called for calm as Ukraine once again erupted into violence last month. Pinchuk, whose fortune was made in the steel industry, is married to the daughter of a former Ukrainian president but also has close ties to Washington, DC, especially the Clintons. He said: “It is the responsibility of everyone—those in power, the opposition, civil society, business… to take courageous steps towards compromise. A peaceful solution must be found; it is imperative to refrain from force.”
