Exhibition of Iranian antiquities to be held at the Louvre in 2013

A major exhibition of Iranian artefacts is set to be held at the Louvre in Paris, overseen by Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organisation. “The arrangements have been made to hold the show in 2013,” Mohammad Reza Mehrandish, a curator at Tehran’s National Museum, has said. The announcement follows a series of important loan exhibitions of treasures from Iran at London’s British Museum, including the current Shah’Abbas show (until 14 June).
