Glenn Lowry, director of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, has signed an agreement with José Guirao Cabrera, director of the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid, which outlines a collaboration on research and conservation projects between the two institutions. In 1998 the Reina Sofia’s chief conservator, Pilar Sedano Espin, spent time in residence at MoMA’s department of conservation and over the last few years four exhibitions organised by MoMA have travelled to the Reina Sofia museum which houses a collection of twentieth-century art.
