An exhibition illustrating the architectural interests of Salvador Dalí opens this month in Barcelona. The exhibition, which coincides with the XIX Congress of the International Union of Architects UIA in Barcelona, includes twenty-seven oil paintings and over one hundred drawings by Dalí, some of which are unpublished. It has been jointly organised by the Fundació Caixa de Catalunya and the Fundació Gala-Salvador Dalí and examines five main themes in Dalí’s work. These include the architectural interiors designed by Dalí and the projects such as his house in Portlligat in which he realised his particular architectural ideals. The exhibition takes place at the Exhibition Hall of the Fundació Caixa de Catalunya from 19 June to 27 August.
